Grateful

I used to be a pushover, but now I know how to protect myself. No matter what other people say, I am me and I love myself the way I am. It was not easy gaining the confidence I have now, and I have to say that I met a lot of people who gave me a lot of help. All I can say is that I'm grateful that things turned out this way, and that I have finally found myself. I stopped creating an image of who I am supposed to be and I found myself. Fyi, that is also what my description at the side column means :)

Chinese New Year

CNY was really amazing this year! I think it gets better every year ^__^ I love it when I get to wear new clothes! Even though there are people who can't understand why there were so many ootd posts on Instagram, I actually really like to look at photographs of other people in their pretty clothes! And hence...

CNY outfits in a nutshell:

They're not all new because I'm not a shopaholic like some of you think!!! I'm actually very thrifty okay... Or at least I try to be hehehehehe.

Went back to Malacca to visit my great grandmother this year and all I can say is even though I haven't seen her in ages and I have never been close to her, it's not weird around her! Maybe it's because she keeps complimenting me and it made me so happy hehehe.

Moving on to photos:

First thing my family and I did after we came back from Malacca on Sunday night: we went to Upper Thomson Road to have prata for supper ☺☺☺

Went shopping with my mum on Tuesday before school started! It was quite a sinful thing to do because the opportunity cost of shopping and bonding time with my mummy was finishing my econs essay... Which led to me staying up till 1.40am on Friday morning to finish it T__T

Valentine's Day

The biggest surprise I got this year was probably the hotpink balloon that R ordered for me! I was genuinely surprised and touched too :) Thank you babe, you're one of the few friends of mine that I will never regret meeting! By the way, the balloon intrigued me a lot because it was so shiny that I could see myself in it! I should also thank the council for selling all the awesome stuff for V'day :)

Thank you everyone for your gifts and I genuinely appreciated all of them :) The cookies that the njwd guys baked deserve a mention though. I'm so happy to see our batch of wdancers becoming closer, regardless of gender differences!

It was a day late but it was still a great present! Thank you B for the box of Ferrero Rocher and I just want to say that my wish of getting a good secret Valentine's present came true *__* Ferrero Rocher is one of my favourite chocolate brands! Mainstream, yes, but still true!

We also made stickers and bought the wdancers Ferrero Rocher :) I hope everybody enjoyed our gifts because I enjoyed the process of making them!

It might have been a really happy day for a lot of us but it's also true that we shouldn't only show our love for one another on Valentine's day! Everyday should be a celebration of love and friendship and I will always aim to live everyday as if it was my last :) Nonetheless, I'm still grateful for all the gifts I received, in which envelopes love from everybody :*
